Black Mold Removal

When it comes to the remediation of Mold first thing, we have to do is to establish a correct definition of mold and how it survives in nature. Molds are a natural part of the environment and can be found almost anywhere that moisture and oxygen are present. They belong to the kingdom Fungi and live in moist places such as soil, plants and dead or decaying matter. Outdoors, molds play a part in nature by breaking down dead organic matter such as fallen leaves, dead trees and other debris; however, indoors mold growth should be avoided. What produces mold growth on a building surface is the combination of this presence of omnipresent fungal spores available in the general environment, the presence of a building material that a particular fungus will grow on (its food), and the presence of appropriate conditions of moisture temperature, light or darkness. Control the conditions and you control the Mold.

Mold Removal vs Mold Remediation

While mold removal describes the physical process of removing moldy materials and cleaning mold from contaminated surfaces, mold remediation is a much more extensive undertaking that involves multiple steps before and after the removal of moldy materials. Although it includes mold removal, it also includes, containment, the use of HEPA air filtration devises, disinfection and encapsulation to protect porous surfaces.  And finally a post clearance test and a post mold prevention plan, which are all part of the Remedition process.

Additional Remediation Services Include:

Besides being unpleasant, odors can cause health effects. Dry-ngo can help you locate the cause of the odor–whether it’s coming from a smelly basement or a damp smell throughout the entire home.

Depending on the odor situation Dry-ngo can provide effective odor removal for properties of all types. Whether its using ozone, HEPA air filtration or good old fashion cleaning we will get to the bottom of the smell.

Infrared (thermal imaging) inspection is an advanced, non-invasive technology involving the use of infrared cameras to show surface temperature differences. Given that leaks, spills, moisture buildup and water damage show up easily in a thermal image, infrared cameras are a mold inspector’s best friend.

Dry-ngo has the experience to find mold reservoirs and eliminate them. The physical removal of contaminated building materials in some cases is the only viable way to totally eliminate a mold threat.
